2013 Davona Dale Stakes: Odds & Post Positions

The 2013 Davona Dale Stakes takes place this Saturday February 23rd at Gulfstream Park. The Davona Dale is a 1 1/16 miles dirt race for three-year-old fillies and up. Only five fillies will run in the 2013 Davona Stakes with fan-favorite Private Ensign breaking from post position number one with 4/1 odds.

Private Ensign is trained by Dale Romans and owned by Siena Farm. She is a chestnut filly out of A.P. Indy and Winner. Private Ensign’s nickname around the barn is “Sugar Bear” and her favorite treats are peppermints! Private Ensign has won two out of three of her career starts. Experts predict Private Ensign has a real shot at winning the 2013 Davona Dale Stakes because she’s the only contender with two-turn experience. I’m no expert, but I believe Private Ensign has a fierce competitive edge that will lead her across the finish line first! World famous Javier Castellano will be aboard Private Ensign for the ride!

Dale Romans recently commented on Private Ensign saying, “She’s a super nice filly. Top notch. The sky’s the limit on how far she can go.”

The winner of the Davona Dale will be awarded fifty points towards their entry into the 2013 Kentucky Oaks.

Post time for the 2013 Davona Dale Stakes is at 4:35 PM EST and is the ninth race of the day at Gulfstream Park.

Lady and The Track would like to wish Siena Farm, Dale Romans, Dave Pope, Javier Castellano, and the beautiful Private Ensign the best of luck in the 2013 Davona Dale Stakes!
