Besilu Stables Florida Derby 2013 Odds & Picks

Itsmyluckyday and Shanghai Bobby will compete again in the 2013 Florida Derby at Gulfstream Park.

The much-anticipated Florida Derby has finally arrived! On Saturday March 30, 2013 we’ll watch ten talented three-year-olds battle it out on a 1/ 1/8 mile dirt track for a $1,000,000 purse and 100 points towards their entry into the 2013 Kentucky Derby. Fan favorite Shanghai Bobby breaks from post position #1 with 5/2 odds.

I spoke to Mr. Jack Wolf of Starlight Racing earlier this week to get his opinion on how Shanghai Bobby is shaping up. He said that he was standing about five inches away from Shanghai Bobby and that he was the only horse in the barn awake at the moment!

“Bobby is in good order,” Jack Wolf stated. “He’s progressed nicely since his last race. Todd is satisfied and really looking forward to Saturday.”

Shanghai Bobby currently has 24 points on the 2013 Kentucky Derby Leaderboard. Orb holds 50 points on the board, winner of the 2013 Holy Bull Stakes Itsmyluckyday has earned 10 points, and Frac Daddy has a total of 4 points.
