The 140th running of the Kentucky Derby traditional “pill pull’ determines which gate post position each of the twenty contenders will break from on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Churchill Downs.

The 2014 Kentucky Derby is the 11th race of the day at Churchill Downs on Saturday, May 2, 2014 with a 6:24 PM EDT post time and will be aired on NBC from 4:00-7:00 PM. NBC Sports will feature pre-derby coverage from 11:00-4:00.
