Breeders’ Cup 2012: Celebs, Fashion, and Fascinators

The Breeders’ Cup World Championship is beauty in all forms including high fashion, the world’s best horses, celebrities, and the best parties. The prestigious 29th running of the Breeders’ Cup events are set to take place on Friday November 2nd and Saturday November 3rd 2013.

Celebrities from every corner of the globe visit Santa Anita racetrack for their share of glamour and spotlight at the Breeders’ Cup Classic. The Breeders’ Cup two-day-event caters to celebrities and includes a private Masquerade Ball at the Mayors mansion.

Celebrity chef and thoroughbred enthusiast Bobby Flay describes the Breeders’ Cup as “Exhilaration, pageantry and two days of downright excitement… that’s what I call the Breeders’ Cup World Championships. Get ready to scream like never before.”

Bo Derek claims the Breeders’ Cup is the best racing event in the world stating, “The fastest horses in the world will be coming to Santa Anita to compete in the Breeders’ Cup in November. It’s the richest, most exciting event each year and makes most other sporting events look, well, quaint.”

Even Kurt Russell is a regular at the Santa Anita racetrack saying, “It’s the richest event in sports, so it’s a lot of fun.”

As far as fashion for the 2012 Breeders’ Cup, DRESS TO IMPRESS! The Breeders’ Cup is a full two-day fashion show. There are really no dress requirements but because the event is known for it’s celebrity draw and famous fashionistas, it’s best for women to wear a sophisticated dress and hat, or fascinator, and men to wear a jacket and bow-tie.

This year, the 2012 Breeders’ Cup will hold a Fascinators & Fedoras Pageant on Friday November 2 from noon-2:00 and on Saturday November 3 between 11:00-2:00. The winner with the most fascinating fascinator or fedora will win $5000!
