Top 5 Thoroughbred Trainers to Watch in Breeders’ Cup: There will be many competing at the 2014 Breeders’ Cup this year, but it isn’t just all about the magnificent thoroughbreds and the thirteen championship races worth millions of dollars.. The trainers spend months and months preparing their horses for big wins and are a crucial part of everything that happens on race day. This year there are trainers who are fairly new to the Breeders’ Cup and trainers that have years of experience and expertise. There are 5 trainers you will want to know before this year’s Breeders’ Cup.

First is Bob Baffert. Baffert is a veteran and this year he will be running Fed Biz in the Breeders’ Cup Dirt Mile and Bayern in the Breeders’ Cup Classic.

Doug O’ Neil is another trainer to look out for. He will be running Goldencents, who is the favorite to win against Baffert’s Fed Biz. Goldencents and Doug O’ Neil will be looking to defend their title in the Dirt Mile race. **Side Note: All of Doug O’Neill’s horses will be entered under his assistant trainer Leandro Mora.
