South Florida SPCA Event at Gulfstream Park
South Florida SPCA Event at Gulfstream Park: The South Florida SPCA, one of the biggest horse and animal rescues in the nation, will hold it’s annual “A Day at the Races” event at Gulfstream Park on Sunday, December 14, 2014. The event was previously held at the newly named Gulfstream Park West but has moved to Gulfstream Park in Hallandale Beach to accommodate a larger crowd to benefit animals in need.
The South Florida SPCA and Gulfstream Park Racing and Casino will throw a festive event for fans and animal advocates that will include a lavish lunch buffet in the popular Tens Palms restaurant located on the 2nd floor of Gulfstream Park overlooking the beautiful racetrack.
Over 400 guests are expected to attend the 2014 “A Day at the Races” event for the chance to buy raffle tickets and participate in silent auctions. Check-in begins at 11:30 AM ET and live racing begins at 12:35 PM ET.
Tickets will not be available at the door and must be purchased online at the spca-sofla.org website before Friday, December 6, 2014. Non-reserved seats are only $65 per person and include the unlimited buffet, a $2.00 betting voucher ticket, air-conditioned trackside seating, and the race program of the day. Upscale attire is a must for the 2014 “A Day at the Races” event.
In addition to benefiting the South Florida SPCA, the “A Day at the Races” event will also donate a potion of the proceeds to the Permanently Disabled Jockey Fund.
