Los Alamitos Futurity 2014; What to Wear, What to Do, Who to Bet On!: The Los Alamitos Futurity is one of Los Alamitos Racecourse’s richest races. It comes in at $500,000. It is sure to be a very eventful and exciting race held at the Los Alamitos Race Course this Saturday, December 20, 2014. The 2014 Los Alamitos Futurity is worth ten points on the 2015 Kentucky Derby Trail and features powerhouse two-year-old colts such as Dortmund and Mr. Z.

What to do at the 2014 Los Alamitos Futurity…

Los Alamitos has plenty to offer besides its featured race. Patrons are welcome to join in the track amenities including The Vessels Club. You can schedule a group event in The Vessels Club, which has gourmet food and can accommodate from 20 to 300 people. You can sit indoors or outdoors on the Vista Terrace, which overlooks the finish line.

For something a little less formal try The Turf Terrace. The Turf Terrace can still seat up to 300 guests and it is in an enclosed dining area that also overlooks the race track. If you do choose to do group events at Los Alamos you can also enjoy having a race named in your honor and have your picture taken in the winner’s circle and even meet professional handicappers upon request.

If you prefer a smaller more informal affair then you can enjoy Schwanie’s Grill At The Gap. It has the famous Blane Burger and you can enjoy it while sitting outside and watch the horses workout during the early morning.

Also, every Saturday Night Los Alamitos hosts a Place Pick All On-Track Contest. You select one horse per race and if the horse finishes first or second, they you are credited with a winner. The person with the most winners at the end of the night will receive a share of 10,000 Racing Reward Points which is equal to a $100 voucher.

There is also an on-site gift shop where patrons can purchase Quarter Horse racing gear.
