Gotham Stakes 2015 at Aqueduct Events & Pastel Fashion: The 2015 Gotham Stakes will be held at Aqueduct Race Track in New York on Saturday, March 7, 2015. The very anticipated Gotham Stakes, a 1-1/16 mile race for a purse of $400,000, will be race 9 at Aqueduct. Three-year-old Kentucky Derby hopefuls will make their way down the Aqueduct track in pursuit of winning 50 points on the Kentucky Derby Trail Leader Board.

What to do at Aqueduct on Gotham Stakes Day…

Admission to the Aqueduct is free, and gates open at 11:00 a.m. with parking gates opening at 8:00 a.m. General parking in the Conduit Lot is $3 per day, while preferred parking is located in the Clubhouse Lot for $7 per day. Valet parking is also available at the casino entrance for $20 on the weekends. ATM’s are located in The Clubhouse for betting convenience, and the Clubhouse Customer Service Center on the first floor provides binocular rentals for racegoers as well.

Aqueduct also boasts of a casino and plenty of fantastic dining options. One such dining option is The Equestris Restaurant, an upscale restaurant located on the third floor of the Aqueduct Clubhouse that features tiered seating overlooking the finish line. The famous buffet costs $29.95 per person on the weekends and is $17.99 for children ages 3-12. The restaurant opens at 11:30 a.m. and maintains a neat, casual dress code. In terms of more low-key options, try the Triple Crown Café on the first floor of the Clubhouse with quick service menu items like pizza and hamburgers, or visit the nearby Silks Sports Bar with a full-service bar and televisions showing the races. The Winner’s Circle Coffee Shop on the third floor of the Clubhouse is also worth visiting, as it serves quick snacks like bagels, sandwiches, and pastries.
