Toyota Blue Grass Stakes 2015; Rolling Grasses & Denim Fashion: The 2015 Blue Grass Stakes will be held at Keeneland on April 4, 2015 in Lexington, Kentucky. The races will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the featured Blue Grass Stakes as part of the trail to the Kentucky Derby taking place at 6:00 p.m. The $1,000,000 Grade I Toyota Blue Grass Stakes is for three-year-olds going 1 1/8 miles on Keeneland’s main track. The Toyota Blue Grass Stakes is named after the rolling blue-green grasses that represent the heart of Kentucky, making for a memorable day at the track as you drive through Lexington.

What to do at the 2015 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes…

Before the races begin, guests can arrive early to Keeneland and enjoy Sunrise Trackside from 7:00 in the morning until 1:00 in the afternoon, and visitors can enjoy the sunrise while partaking from Breakfast with the Works from 7:00 until 8:30. Breakfast is held in the trackside Equestrian Dining Room, and the cost is $7 per person while kids three and under eat for free.

Also in the morning from 7:00 to 9:00 there will be children’s activities in the Kids Club Corner. The free activities will include photos in jockey silks, face painting, the Kids Club mascot Buckles, and more.

Guided tours will also be held from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. with departure from the Welcome Wagon in the Paddock. There is also a Paddock Demonstration at 8:45 a.m. and a Handicapping Seminar at 11:30 a.m. followed by a Jockey Q&A at noon in the Walking Ring. Reservations are not needed, and festivities will be held rain or shine.

Also featured on Saturday at Keeneland is the Craft Beer Tent. The tent will be in the North Terrace, and it will feature local and popular brews from 11:00 in the morning until 6:00 in the evening.

The Hill is another unique feature of Keeneland that patrons can enjoy. The Hill is a tailgate lot that is open on Saturday and features a wagering tent, big screen TV, music, and local food trucks and is also open from 11:00 until 6:00 with live music from noon until 3:00 in the afternoon.
