What to do at the 2015 Preakness Stakes

Featured on Preakness Stakes Day will be one of the world’s largest Farm to Table dining experiences and live performances in the infield. Gates for the big day of Preakness happenings will open at 8:00 a.m. The concert in the infield is a part of the 2015 Preakness Concert Series, and the Saturday concert will feature Armin Van Buren, Childish Gambino, Easton Corbin, Trampled by Turtles, and A Thousand Horses on the Jagermeister Stage.

Another fun event to attend at the 2015 Preakness Stakes is the event at The Mug & Vine Lounge at the Top of the Stretch. It is still a part of the Infield Fest, but it is a place you can go for a little rest to enjoy such features as fine wine, a full cash bar, water, soda, and private restrooms along with a jumbo television screen and picnic lounge.

The cost to attend the Preakness Day events is $140 while general admission into the Infield Fest is $70 per person.

What to wear at the 2015 Preakness Stakes

For all of your Preakness Day festivities, stay cool and look chic in spring’s menswear inspired trends – think poplin outfits, tailored shirt dresses, and oxford shirts. Try an easy and loose-fitting Lucky Brand Women’s Everyday Shirt Dress. It comes in multiple patterns to keep things interesting, or a sleeveless striped version is perfect for the occasion as well. Try a straight version of a shirt dress with menswear inspired fabric patches, or try the traditional women’s take on shirt dress in a fit and flare style with a full skirt.

Pair your look with a cute pair of flat oxfords, perfect for walking around all the festivities at Pimlico Race Course, and a wide-brimmed, fedora-style hat or panama hat. This look will take you from day to night at the 2015 Preakness Stakes!
