Try Stop 20, a local breakfast place in Elmont, New York, where Belmont Park is located. The most highly touted of Stop 20’s dishes are the country fresh eggs and the unique Challah bread French toast.

Another favorite breakfast spot is The Triple Crown Diner, a place where chocolate chip pancakes of the highest quality can be found. The Triple Crown Diner is just six minutes away from Belmont Park and is a great option to fuel up before hitting the track.

A great local breakfast or brunch option is Swing the Teapot while you’re in New York for the Belmont Stakes. You can order a basket of fresh baked Irish soda bread or one of the many breakfast menu items like classic French toast or traditional Irish Breakfast items, but the main attraction is their specialty teas. It is not on the menu, but ask for the Spice Chai with coconut, or try a classic like Earl Grey or Oolong. In addition, enjoy the quaint vintage-inspired tea cups and décor and the comforting Irish pub appeal.

For a hearty breakfast, swing by Marble. Their steak and eggs are filling and delicious; you will get a full, thick, juicy steak alongside your eggs, much more than just the usual dry thin piece of steak for breakfast. They also feature a build-your-own bloody mary on their unique menu.

Of course, you can’t count out the breakfast options offered by Belmont Park itself. Breakfast at Belmont is a long-standing tradition where fans can feast on a breakfast buffet that includes coffee, tea, and juices until 9:30 in the morning. Breakfast is located trackside at the Belmont Café on the first floor of the Clubhouse where patrons can simultaneously watch the Thoroughbreds train in the morning.

Any one of these great breakfast spots will be sure to fill you up and have you energized for American Pharoah and the possibility of a Triple Crown winner!

The 147th running of the belmont Stakes takes place on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. The third and final jewel of the Triple Crown will be the eleventh race scheduled for 6:50 p.m. ET and will air on NBC.
