Opening Day at Saratoga Set for Friday, July 24, 2015: Friday, July 24, is opening day at Saratoga Race Track in New York, one of the premier events of the summer racing season. The Saratoga meet runs from July 24 to Monday, September 7, 2015.

Opening day will feature Taste New York and Craft Beer Samples where guests will be able to sample a variety of New York State craft brews. This event will take place in the pavilion, and park gates will open at 11:00 a.m. with a first post time of 1:00 p.m.

Hats Off to Saratoga will also be a featured all-day event on opening day at Saratoga. It is a two-day festival in partnership with the Saratoga County Chamber of Commerce, and it will feature live music as well as live racing at Saratoga.

There will also be two stakes races featured on opening day at Saratoga, including the Grade II Lake George for three-year-old fillies on the turf and the Grade III Schuylerville for two-year-old fillies on the dirt.

The 2015 Saratoga meet features several Breeders’ Cup “Win and You’re In” races that awards winners with an automatic entry into the world championship on October 30-31 at Keeneland.
