“Not every fan of Thoroughbred racing is just a gambler. Some of them just enjoy the sheer beauty of the race horse. So being able to get so close to them and their trainers during their morning regimes is very special for those fans. Also I think it lets fans see how much hard work and dedication go into caring for these horses by their people. Furthermore, it’s just a fun, social gathering for people who love horse racing!” said Maggie Wolfendale NYRA TV Analyst.

This year it is different than in the past. Fans can still watch the horses train every weekend during the spring meet. There won’t be Breakfast every weekend, there are only four weekends that the breakfast, tram tour, paddock show and starting gate will be.

May 7 and May 8- Kentucky Derby Day and Mothers Day
Memorial Day weekend- May 28, 29 and 30.
June 18 and 19- Fathers Day weekend
July 9 and 10. Stars and Stripes Festival.
Times 7:00-9:30 All weekends even without food and activity.
Price. $12 Buffett style eggs pancakes etc.

At the end fans must exit Belmont Park but they can re enter at 11:30 and pay $5 for the afternoon races.

For the first event on Saturday May 7 fans who can’t get to Kentucky can bring the family down to Belmont and enjoy a nice morning with the pageantry of the thoroughbreds the same day that the run for the roses is run. A lot of the stables that will train that morning have horses in the Derby. The day after families can take their moms to a special morning for Mother’s Day to enjoy a nice breakfast and see some majestic horses with mom and thank mom for what she does.

Memorial Day weekend is a trifecta breakfast treat. It is a great way to start the summer season, watch horses in the morning with family before going to the beach parades and other holiday activities.

The third weekend is Fathers Day weekend. It could be an exacta to enjoy with the father and family to have breakfast and observe horses at the Belmont Utopia.

Stars and Stripes festival is the last weekend and it is to celebrate the accomplishments of the meet and enjoy the last tranquil mornings before they travel to Saratoga.
