San Felipe Stakes 2013

The San Felipe Stakes takes place today (March 9) at Santa Anita Park. The Derby prep race is the 7th race of the day with a 3:35 PM post time. The $300,000 San Felipe is run on a 1 1/16 mile dirt track. There are eight superstars entered in the 2013 San Felipe Stakes including social media celebrity Goldencents and fan favorite Flashback.

As part of the Road To The Kentucky Derby” championship series, the winner of the San Felipe Stakes will be awarded 50 points towards their entry into the 2013 Kentucky Derby. Currently Goldencents is on the leaderboard and ebtering the San Felipe Stakes with 24 points. Flashback holds 10 points and Carving currently has two.
