Fantasy Stakes 2013 Post Positions & Odds

The Fantasy Stakes takes place at Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Arkansas on Wednesday April 10, 2013. The winner of the 2013 Fantasy Stakes not only takes home a $400,000 purse but also 100 points towards their 2013 Kentucky Oaks entry. The field is set with seven three-year-old fillies including favorite Rose To Gold with 6-5 odds.

Jockey Calvin Borel will be on the mount aboard Rose To Gold breaking from post position #3 in the 2013 Fantasy Stakes. Rose To Gold is known on the backstretch as the “top” filly at Oaklawn Park. Her last race in the Honey Bee Stakes she beat Flashy Grey. Experts predict Rose To Gold will definitely be running in the Run For The Lilies on May 3rd at Churchill Downs! Rose To Gold already has 64 points on the Kentucky Oaks Leaderboard. Liberty Girl is the only other contender in the Fantasy Stakes with Leaderboard points with a total of five.

I also like Manuka Honey for the Fantasy Stakes with 7-2 odds. I don’t know a lot about her but rumor has it she looks great and is ready to run! Manuka Honey will break from post position #6 which may help her close the deal.
