Blue Grass Stakes 2013 Post Positions & Odds

The 2013 Blue Grass Stakes takes place this Saturday April 13th at Keeneland in Lexington, Kentucky. The field is set with fourteen contenders and one added entry that is also eligible to compete in the 1 1/8 mile race on all-weather track. The winner of the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes not only takes home a $750,000 purse, but 100 points towards their 2013 Kentucky Derby entry.

Experts predict Uncaptured with 7-2 ML odds will lead the pack in the 2013 Blue Grass Stakes because he’s been extremely successful on synthetic surfaces. Uncaptured has won four races on the synthetic track at Woodbine already. Tesseron, with 50-1 ML odds, is also successful on synthetic. I’m no expert but I really like Rydilluc. He looks strong and is said to be ready to win this race. I also like Dynamic Sky with 10-1 odds. Dynamic Sky has only won two of the seven races throughout his career. He breaks from post position #1 with Joel Rosario aboard so it should be interesting to say the least! My long shot bet for the 2013 Blue Grass Stakes is Channel Isle. I think Channel Isle has something special alongside trainer D. Wayne Lukas.
