Animal Kingdom Painting Holds Highest Bid
The Moneighs for ReRun auction is currently underway with paintings up for bid now in an online auction that ends Sunday June 2, 2013. If you love animals and art, you’ll want to place a bid now on a unique one-of-a-kind painting created by horses using their muzzles, tails, and hooves! The “Fan Favorite” spring auction will end Sunday at 6:00 pm. 2011 Kentucky Derby winner and Dubai World Cup champion Animal Kingdom currently holds the highest bid in the online auction to support ReRun, Inc.
ReRun Inc. is a nonprofit thoroughbred adoption Program. The facility rehabilitates, retrains, and finds loving adoptive homes for thoroughbred racehorses when their racing careers are over. All painting purchases made in the ReRun Shop will support the retired thoroughbreds. Paintings range from a $76.00 piece of art by Carlsson Vom Dach to a horse masterpiece by the world famous Animal Kingdom with a current bid of $1335. In addition to Animal Kingdom’s brilliant masterpiece, Moneigh paintings include creations by the following; Einstein, Gio Ponti, Awesome Maria, Better Talk Now, Brass Hat, Cigar, Ghostzapper, Rapid Redux, Shackleford, and Summer Bird.
Moneighs for ReRun paintings are created by encouraging a horse to nuzzle non-toxic paint. The horse then licks, sniffs, and smudges the paint on a pad to create a beautiful piece of art! The horses are said to thoroughly enjoy the experience, which makes the paintings priceless!
Moneighs have been auctioned off since 2001 to help retired thoroughbreds and are exclusive to ReRun. If you decide you want to help ReRun Inc. without bidding on a Moneigh, you can always donate or sponsor a horse by visiting the ReRun, Inc. website directly at www.rerun.org. Any donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated!
Good Luck to everyone bidding on a one-of-a-kind painting to benefit retired thoroughbreds! They are definitely collectors’ pieces that will be cherished by many racing fans across the world! Remember the Moneighs for ReRun auction ends Sunday June 2, 2013 at 6:00 PM.
