Delaware Handicap 2015: Day to Night Fun for All

Delaware Handicap 2015: Day to Night Fun for All: The Grade I Delaware Handicap will take place on July 18, 2015, at Delaware Park. The $750,000 race is for fillies and mares three-year-olds and upwards and is run at a distance of 1¼ miles. Sheer Drama leads the seven horse field as the morning line favorite with 2-1 odds. Celebrity chef Bobby Flay enters his horse in the 2015 Delaware Handicap with 8-1 odds. There will be giveaways at Delaware Park entrances at 11:00 a.m. while supplies last, and the post time for the first race of the day is 1:15 p.m. Both parking and admission are free.

There’s plenty to do at Delaware Park even after the Delaware Handicap and races are over. Guests can enjoy the Casino at Delaware Park, which includes live table games and full service tournament and cash poker rooms. All the classic casino games are available, including Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Texas Hold ‘em, Three and Four Card Poker, Pai Gow Poker, and Mississippi Stud. There are also plenty of slot machines available. On race day, the Casino will feature a Disco Dance Party from 9:00 in the evening until 1:00 in the morning at which there will be a DJ and plenty of dancing.

There are also plenty of dining options available at Delaware Park, like the Legends Restaurant that offers a fine dining experience featuring fresh seafood, steaks, famous Crab Cakes Delaware, a full bar, and an expanded wine list. For a more low-key environment, try Picciotti’s Pizza and Craft Beer or Del Cap Room.

For a fashionable day at Delaware, try the cut-outs trend. There have been peek-a-boo cut-outs featured all over the runways this summer fashion season. With this season’s cut-outs, think subtle and modest rather than overtly showy. Try a criss-cross neckline, or show a little sliver of back or an open triangle in the front of your dress.

Whether you are at the Casino or at the races, the cut-out trend is the perfect look for a day at Delaware Park for the 2015 Delaware Handicap!
