Donn Handicap 2013 Results and Winners

It was an excited day at Gulfstream Park for the 2013 Donn Handicap. The day was filled with anticipation and excitement as 5-1 Graydar claimed his position from the very start and won the Donn Handicap! Below are the results and winners of the Donn Handicap that took place on February 9, 2013.

Before the race began, the buzz amongst race fans was Ultimate Eagle with 6-1 odds. The dark Californian horse reminds me of the statue of David but in horse form. Crowds gushed over Ultimate Eagle’s appearance when he was paraded around the paddock. But the gorgeous horse’s looks alone couldn’t help his race. Ultimate Eagle ultimately crossed the finish line last.

Take Charge Indy and Bourbon Courage both ran their hearts out. They found their stride and held on strong. Both of them ran a good race and I expect to see some superior speed and wins this year from both of them. Bourbon Courage finished second and Take Charge Indy finished third in the 2013 Donn Handicap.

If you had a chance to view Friday’s “Trixie’s Picks”, you’ll see that I picked the top three winners of the 2013 Donn Handicap, just not in the correct order! I liked Graydar, simply because he was gray. Gray horses are like red headed people to me. You just never know what’s going to happen when a gray horse such as Graydar enters a race just like you never know what’s going to happen when you go on a dinner date with a red headed human!
