Immediately after purchasing your 2013 Kentucky Derby tickets it’s best to book your hotel room. Many hotels such as The Crowne Plaza Louisville, Hyatt Regency Louisville, and Marriott Louisville Downtown are offering great accommodations just minutes away from the Churchill Downs with continuous shuttle service to downtown Louisville.

My next recommendation after buying your tickets and booking your hotel room for the 2013 Kentucky Derby is to start planning your fabulous outfit. There honestly is no time to spare. Especially if you plan on having a one of a kind hat or fascinator made by a well-known designer. Keep in mind there are guidelines to Derby attire. Lets not also forget ladies and gentlemen that jeans, shorts, and sneakers are not allowed. Ripped or tie-dyed clothing is inappropriate and is not allowed. A sleek sophisticated look is always appreciated at the Kentucky Derby!

The 2013 Kentucky Derby takes place Saturday May 4, 2013.
