First, in true southern fashion, there are some great places to go antiquing and find some old southern charm. Two great places to try are the Louisville Antique Mall, with over a hundred sellers that house antique and rare finds. Another option is the Derby City Antique Mall. The vendors there have a lot of experience and can help you purchase that unique find even if you are a novice at shopping for antiques.
Louisville also boasts some great boutiques where you can find interesting pieces that you can’t find in mass retail stores. For a traditional mall experience try out the Mall St. Matthews or the Oxmoor Mall, this is one of the more prestigious malls in Louisville. Louisville also has the Jefferson Mall. The Summit Mall is a newer mall in the Louisville area with many major brand outlet stores. There is also the Factory Stores of America if you like Outlet shopping.
For a great local feel try the historic Frankfort Avenue where you can support local small businesses and take your pick from some great local restaurants, as well as the historic West Main Street and Fourth Avenue where you can find great shopping and great entertainment.
